Photographs by Eadweard Muybridge, Carleton Watkins and Ansel Adams are the highlights of the exhibition. These pictures highlight the images from the 1860s through the 1940s. The rapidly flowing Merced River, the plunging waterfalls, mists of Bridal Veil and Yosemite Falls are among the memorable images in the exhibition.

In addition, there are films that you can see after your walk through the museum. All shows are at 7 pm in the Annenberg Auditorium, Cummings Art Building on the Stanford campus.

August 22-Vertical Frontier: A History of the Art, Sport, and Philosophy of Rock Climbing in Yosemite 2002. The film is directed by Kristi Denton Cohen and narrated by Tom Brokaw.

October 18-Yosemite: The Fate of Heaven 1989. It is directed by Jon Else and narrated by Robert Redford.

The exhibition will give you a chance to see the beauty of Yosemite and the evolution of photographic technology.
