If you are a big fan of hard metal or rock, here’s a great opportunity for you. The Myrtle Beach (South Carolina) will soon be home to the Hard Rock theme park. This park is scheduled to open up in spring of 2008. The people who designed the park, rightly coined the phrase ‘Where rock comes to play’.
Most of the amazing rides throughout the park are based on heavy metal bands as well as rock stars. This is the first Rock n roll theme park ever created. The star attraction of the place is the Led Zeppelin ride that will skyrocket to about 150 feet in the air and take you through six heart pounding inversions. I think this it’s insane, but fun.
Imitating the Mount Rushmore concept, the park will have a giant sand sculpture called Mount Rockmore. This gigantic sculpture will be a tribute to legends of the rock like Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Elvis Presley, and John Lennon. This is a great idea and I think the fact that this will be carved out of sand makes the Mount Rockmore sculpture special.

Construction of the park proves one thing: the existence of a strong bond between the rock singers and their fans. The park will be spread over a 140 acres area and will have 40 rides. Tickets will be priced at $46 for all ages. This indeed is a place where rock comes to play. So hop in and buckle up to get whole lotta love from Led Zeppelin and the other gods of rock at the Hard Rock Park.
