
The Finger Lakes is a place blessed with diverse and beautiful landscapes. Besides holding historical secrets, it is a great place to hike, backpack, explore waterfalls and pick blueberries. Known for the array of waterfalls, the Finger Lakes is an incredible place to spend time with nature.

This is one of the spectacular waterfalls in Finger Lakes region. You can witness the falls while hiking the trials. This fall gives wonderful photo opportunities.
Aunt Sarah’s Falls:
It flows nicely in summer but is absolutely spectacular when frozen in winter! There is a small parking lot across the road so you can park and walk over for a closer look.
Lucifer Falls in Robert Treman State Park:
The beauty you pass as you take the short hike from the upper entrance to the falls is just great food for the soul. Lucifer Falls are the icing on an amazing cake.
The list is yet not over, the region has lots in store for the visitors. Fillmore Glen, Buttermilk Falls, Treman State Parks waterfalls at Watkins Glen State Park, Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake, Lodi Point State Park, Lake Ontario at Fair Haven Beach State Park< , are other places in the Finger Lakes region that are really worth visit.
One of the best ways to explore the region is by bike. Also, there are campsites at various parks that offer camping, picnicking, boating, fishing, bird watching and swimming facilities.
Wildlife:
The Finger Lakes area has abundance of wildlife from white tailed deer, black bears, coyotes, fox, and beaver to hawks, eagles, falcons, herons, geese, vultures, and owls. Also, there is Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge at the top of the Cayuga Lake that fills with migratory birds as the seasons change and is a nesting area for bald eagles and many other rare birds.
Also, the region is known for wonderful wineries that none can miss to afford. The sheer beauty of vineyards planted on slopes pitched precipitously toward the water makes the visitors amazed.
