Last week the Crucible celebrated its Seventh Annual Fire Arts Festival in which the stunning work of more than 400 artists, actors and sculptors were showcased. The daring performers gave their stunning open-air fire performances, fire sculpture, and interactive fire art.
The Fire Odyssey, a modernized interpretation of Homer’s epic poem that blended industrial fire theatre with ballet, opera, aerial dance, and other performance styles was the main attraction of this years’ festival. Also included was what the organizers called “the largest collection of outdoor fire sculpture on the West Coast.”
The festival is a mesmerizing display of flickering flame and a blazing celebration of creativity and industry.
