Are you a Gold Coin collector? If yes, then you need to read this out.
Canadian Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities Lawrence Cannon (L) and President and CEO of the Royal Canadian Mint Ian E. Bennett unveiled the world’s first heaviest coin in Ottawa on Thursday, May 3, 2007.

It’s a monster gold coin that weighs 100 kg (220 lbs) and is the size of an extra large pizza. It is 21 inches (53 centimeters) in diameter and 1.2 inches (three centimeters) thick.
The coin is worth one million Canadian dollars (850,000 US), breaking a record for value. Listed as 99.999 percent pure gold bullion, the coin features Queen Elizabeth II on one side and Canada’s national symbol the maple leaf on the other.
It takes about six weeks to make and has a face value of 1 million Canadian dollars ($903,628), though it sells for approximately $2.7 million depending on the market value of gold.
The coin is claimed to be the world’s biggest, purest and highest denomination coin and will give the mint a higher international profile.
Already, three buyers have shelled out for one of the 1 million Canadian dollar coin. Will you be the next one to buy this coin?
