The 175-year-old Ireland’s national cemetery (Glasnevin cemetery) is expected to turn into a tourist destination when it is restored like other famous cemeteries such as Arlington in Washington and Pere Lachaise in Paris.

It’s a 120-acre (49 hectare)cemetery on the north side of Dublin, which is the final resting place for those who have helped shape modern Ireland.

It contains the graves of leading historical figures like Daniel “The Liberator” O’Connell, and Charles Stewart Parnell. Others include human rights campaigner-turned-revolutionary Sir Roger Casement, independence struggle hero Michael Collins, assassinated in 1922, as well as writer Brendan Behan and poet Gerard Manley Hopkins.

It is also the burial ground of the victims of the so-called Great Famine of the 1840s and the 329 victims of 1985 Air India crash.

Believe me, Ireland cemetery is not the spooky and scary place, it would be an unforgettable experience once you land there.
