The sixth annual Heritage Tractor Adventure is set to roll on June 9 until 13th; it is a time likely to bring you rides, entertainment, good food and vintage farm tractors.

This year, more than 300 tractors from 14 states will visit Morris, Streator, Ottawa, Peru and Mendota.

Community organizations host these stops and the funds received benefit local organizations. This year’s adventure will begin at the Grundy County Fairgrounds north of Interstate 80 on Illinois 47 in Morris.

As with the five previous years of the ride, it will follow as much as possible the 19th century, 100-mile-long canal from Chicago to LaSalle that once made water transportation to New Orleans possible by bypassing the shallower portions of the Illinois River.

Since it has become such a popular tourist draw, ride organizers attempt to vary the communities where much of the activity will be held so that all can benefit from it. Do register with Heritage tractor tours if you want to be a part of it.
