Stretching over an area of 52 acres Brooklyn Botanic Garden has the perfect picturesque setting with its 10,000 odd varieties of plants ranging from Bluebell Wood to a huge variety of roses that are a sight to watch when they are in full bloom during early summer. There are many festivals held in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden , the Sakura Matsui -the cherry blossom festival held in spring every year being a major attraction. Located right in the heart of Brooklyn , the Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a great place to spend some quality time away from the rushes of city life in a calm and relaxed environment and with a panoramic view as the perfect backdrop. There is free entry on Saturdays from 10 am to 12pm and on Tuesdays during the period from Feb28th to the middle of November. On all other days , an entrance fee of $5 is charged for adults above the age of 16 and a subsidized $3 for senior citizens and for students possessing valid Id cards. The Cherry blossoms are in full bloom and await your arrival.
