Further, this report states that now around 58 million fewer tourists are visiting America, which is also emerging as a great threat to the jobs of millions of people who are strongly associated with the sector.
According to the experts of tourism industry America is amid a travel crisis and it is a high time for the Congress to ponder over this matter quite seriously.
Stevan Porter, Chairman of the Discover America Partnership, a business group representing the travel and tourism industries, said:
Our economic security is suffering from a drastic decline in overseas travelers and we are missing an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen America’s image around the globe.
Notably, America had been categorized as a worst welcoming country by business travelers and tourists for adopting humiliating and stripped checking procedures to detect terrorists at airports. In addition, abstruse visa procedures are further exacerbating the condition of tourism industry in America.
However, the American policymakers are deliberately working on to address the concerns of international travelers and trying to find out that how this matter can be leveled up.
