New York’s prestigious Plaza hotel plans to expand the brand to the top cities around the world starting with Las Vegas and including London, Beijing Paris, Rome, Tokyo and Shanghai.
The owner of the Plaza hotel announced the plans to buy New Frontier hotel-casino and develop a $5 billion multi-use complex on Las Vegas strip.
Elad Group, a commercial real estate development firm plans to build a luxury hotel with about 3,500 rooms, 300 private residences, retail space and a casino bearing The Plaza brand on the New Frontier site.
Opening for the 34.5-acre site across from the Wynn Las Vegas is targeted for 2011 and it will take three years to complete.
The complex will sit on the site which was bought last year for 1.2 billion dollars form Wynn Las Vegas.
Las Vegas is already the biggest hotel market in the US and with this project now it plans to cement its place on the top tourist attraction in the US.
